Venkat Prabhu's Saroja, which is set to hit the halls by August 30, has been censored and given a clean U certificate.
The unit feels happy to get U certificate, as most of its members were said to be expecting A or U/A certification, as the film has some violence and intimate romantic scenes. The censor board has given a clean U after cutting down a few romantic and violent scenes.
It may be recalled that the action packed Sathyam, starring Vishal and Nayanthara, got a straight U/A because of the sensuous portrayal of romance between the lead pair. Venkat's Saroja too is an action entertainer and hence it was expected that the film too would get U/A certificate.
It is also believed that Dhaam Dhoom, in which Jayam Ravi plays the lead role, will also get a 'U' certificate. Dhaam Dhoom too is an action packed movie and some sensual scenes involving Ravi and Kangana Ranavath.
